Red Sea Max 130D Plug & Play Coral Reef System 34 Gallon Aquarium w/ Stand & Starter Kit - Black

Red Sea Max 130D - The Complete 34 Gallon Coral Reef SystemRed Sea is pleased to introduce the new Max 130D. The 130D includes numerous significant upgrades and improvements from the original Max 130, and reflects feedback received from thousands of Max owners, dealers and distributors since the original launch almost 2 years ago. You will readily appreciate the enhanced features of this new Max 130D over the original version, and the entire system is now easier to use, requires less maintenance and will give even higher performance levels. The following key elements differentiate the Max Coral Reef System from other marine aquariums: ?Reef Spec? Lighting, Filtration, Skimming and Circulation: Extensive research and development carried out in our laboratories clearly shows that in order to sustain delicate hard corals such as SPS species, it is essential to meet certain criteria. This is especially true when we remember that many Max aquariums may be purchased by less experienced hobbyists. Protein Skimming, Filtration & Circulation: Delivering reef spec performance of 3x per hour aquarium volume circulation, and more than a 3:1 water to air ratio, the Turbo injected protein skimmer now has a foam adjustment feature which makes it even easier to use over a wide range of water conditions. The filtration system has been improved to ensure less water flow restrictions. A full sized, adjustable surface skimmer pulls water from the top of the aquarium where most waste collects. This upgrade reduces maintenance and aids water flow through the filter, making air bubble release far less prevalent. New biological media, improved media bags and an upgraded foam filter ensures water flows more freely through the entire filter chamber. The 130D includes a fittings accessory kit which makes it simple to add a chiller, external filter etc. Lighting: Reef Spec lighting of 4watts per gallon is controlled by a high quality timer and consists of upgraded twin 55w T5 Power C

Most useful reviews 3 of 4 people found this review helpful. First Reef Tabk With Johma G. This study is the mainland after four months of the project. After oooos and Aaah right out of the box is faded. This is a 34 gallon tank installation was pretty simple. Do not be an athlete, have someone to help you get the tank in position because it is glass. The tank I bought was the starter kit included. $ 129.00 option. Free is a good thing. If not included, do not bother buying it. Some of the Red Sea test kit puts out is not all recoverable. Not expecting to work on the skimmer. It really takes time to break in, and for you to learn how to change it to the level you want to work. I must admit that the installation of a skimmer, filter and pump system in the area they have done is dammed impressive, especially because it actually works. The only pain in the ass I see is that to replace the carbon filter and bio, you have to pull the two pumps do not work hard ... just a pain. Many reviews I read say that there is sufficient flow in the tank. That may be true with the previous model, but with the 130D is not the issue. I put some screen over the output from one pump to stem the flow a little. That said ..... there may be some homeowners who think there should be a good flow through the pond with a stone in front of establishments in the pump. The instructions are all good are necessary for the installation of the tank and the cycle is discussed. It even warns you when you add to your computer cleaner, corals and fish. I added the crew when he said, but waited two months to add corals. Chemical equilibrium in the tank is really important. Do not go overboard. Get a bit and see how it goes. If water quality is not as good as you think you are, just $ 10. Money is not the point ... My Emerald crab on one of my hermit crabs, because I screwed up on feeding and I felt terrible. This is a good entry level tank, mainly because it is a bit more work than the larger tanks take. Given, patients, research and attention to detail, a god can all looking tank. Now after four months of testing water, changing the water, the tank looks good. Eight soft corals, sixteen hermits, snails, ten, two emerald crabs, a anenomie. and a cleaner shrimp. feel good.
