The Eheim 2215 Canister Filter has a compact pump coupled with a large volume canister for filter media. The filter is for aquariums up to 93 gallons with a maximum pump performance of 164 gph and delivery head of 5 foot and 10 inches. It is extremely quiet, durable and long lasting. It provides high pump output and effective use of filter media for fresh or saltwater aquariums.The "Full Space" design of Eheim's canister allows it to hold large amounts of filter media while making it more versatile. The filter comes complete with a safety hose-connection system to stop separation, all the filter medias needed to set up the filter, intake and outtake tubes, and double isolating valves. The Eheim 2215 is UL and CSA listed.

The entrance is on the bottom and outlet on the top, there is simply no room for water to bypass the media and then filtering is much more efficient. Some complain that the filter is very difficult to clean. However, the manual shows a simple way to do this. I kept mine for 3 months without cleaning or freshwater aquarium heavily planted and I was very good. The media are reusable and refillable and reusable. Get my point? :-) They are extremely effective. A bit 'more expensive than the rest of the filter canister of the market. But in the long term, are better because they last longer and rarely failed. DB B This is the single best filter always my own aquarium is very profitable. Bio I used to run the wheels and / or type of filters, whisper. I found the filters to not last long and would have to replace the filters every two weeks. With this filter change intervals are approximately three months however, I still recommend that you do regular water changes. The filter is very quiet and easy to configure. This filter is easy to install. Just outside the box, follow the instructions for loading and filter the links, the first hand (mouth), and running. Plus model includes photos of the couple to help with the connection and removal for cleaning. This is a great feature. The unit includes tubes enough to put the filter in the tank. The operation was very calm. I can not hear the engine unless I get too close, the box is dark green and not so easy to see through, as shown in product image.
