This is my first tank and I found it very easy and hassle free. The tank is very clean and clear and the fish seem very healthy and happy. It can be a bit expensive for a standard installation are compared, but for me, convenience and comfort, everything is easier in a package worth it. And DSL access for easy maintenance. I am currently 5 zebrafish, 6 cats and 3 Cory cats, oto in the tank and all seem to be very good. I recommend this book for beginners. I would also highly recommed purchasing and studied several books on the hobby (which I bought and read at least 4) before purchasing a system and secure before you buy fish! Good luck and happy aquarium! 3 of 3 people found this review helpful. Not bad for Kurt in Seattle Yes, I noticed the problem with the noise of the pump seems that if the disk is not placed at the moment a very annoying noise grid by the time you mad. But the solution is simple, take it apart, make sure everything is clean and spinning freely and just start all over again (something I have to do it anyway from time to time for maintenance). I can find the filter settings to work well however, the overall design and be very good. The lighting? Like it or not, depends if you want real plants or not. 36 watts for a 25-liter tank, like mine, do not cut. Then you have to find a system to adapt. Sunpaq have some options, but you will have to be very good with some tools. I ended up just removing the light of values and then cut a slit in the front and back cover and pasting to 130 W Coralife unit above all else. Approximately 5 watts per liter will "get-there-done" My advice to people is to Marineland several different lighting options available to their all-in-one hooded. I think they would sell more, or at least be able to make any changes or upgrades to sell when people find out that the stock system has these limitations. As the upgrades that come from other companies. I bought the thing, because the sales guy said I could upgrade the lighting later. He deliberately lied or not to explain that I was looking for an exciting retrofit projects. O) 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Good quality and stylish tank Robin Petersson I bought this idea nine months ago and have been pretty happy. It looks good. I love the rounded corners that much better than the laminated glass. Acrylic material is still up, but I am much more thorough cleaning than with glass. The only problem I had with this device is a metal that appears to come from the fan can go for 10 minutes to a few days. Then it begins to rattle. I adjust the hood and go. Recently during the past few weeks the pump has started with some serious rattling can not get rid of him. It bothers me and I am sure that the fish are even more upset. Clean the unit and all surfaces of the pump, but no luck. So I think I have to go buy a new pump. See all 6 reviews ....
